Proposed changes to Ward boundaries

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is consulting on potential changes to Council Ward Boundaries in Bristol.

Their current proposal includes changing the ward boundaries within St George replacing the two current wards which have two Councillors each with the following Council Wards:

– St George Central
This ward contains the majority of the residential part of St George.
Forecast electorate: 9503
To elect 2 Councillors

– St George Troopers Hill
This ward incorporates the southern part of St George as well as Troopers Hill, for which the ward is named. It is bounded to the south by the River Avon.
Forecast electorate: 4647
To elect 1 Councillor

– St George West
This ward contains the residential areas surrounding St George’s Park and is bounded by the River Avon to the south.
Forecast electorate: 5023
To elect 1 Councillor
