RHS awards for St George

St George in BloomCommunity groups in St George have been rewarded for all their hard work at The Royal Horticultural Society awards that were presented on Thursday 24th September at a special ceremony that was held by RHS Britain in Bloom South West

The results are as follows:

Within the RHS ‘It’s your neighbourhood’ competition:
–  Bristol East Allotment Association (St Aidan’s site) achieved ‘Outstanding.’
–  Friends of St George Park group achieved ‘Outstanding.’
–  Friends of Troopers Hill achieved ‘Outstanding.’
–  Kensington Road Residents Association achieved ‘Outstanding.’
–  Friends of Kingsway Youth Group achieved ‘Developing.’

St George in Bloom also received an RHS Gold Pennant in its second year of operations.

St George also received the Urban Communities Trophy for the best Urban communities entry in the entire South West.

A special St George in Bloom awards ceremony will be held at Summerhill Methodist Church Hall on Thursday 8th October – more info

St George in Bloom awards ceremony 2015

Residents from St George and representatives from community groups in the area are cordially invited to attend our St George in Bloom awards ceremony, and we look forward to seeing you all on this special occasion.

All the results from our local competition will be announced together with the RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood awards and St George in Bloom’s Pennant entry for the RHS South West in Bloom’s competition.

The awards will be presented by Honorary Alderman Peter Main, and light refreshments will be provided after the ceremony.
